Hogwarts’ best and second-brightest is a drug mule now, probably as a result of crushing student debt. Daniel Radcliffe, best known as the title character in the Harry Potter movies, will star as a drug smuggler on his last run in the upcoming Beast of Burden.  The film is helmed by Swedish director Jesper Ganslandt, and the screenplay was written by Adam Hoelzel.

Radcliffe plays Sean Haggerty, who has been enjoying a dangerous game by keeping things from his wife, his bosses–a drug cartel–and law enforcement. Haggerty is on his last trip, flying 55 pounds of cocaine across the border in a small plane. The film also stars Grace Gummer, Pablo Schreiber, and Renée Willett. The film is currently scheduled for a February 2018 release date.

Here is the synopsis

Sean Haggerty only has an hour to deliver his illegal cargo. An hour to reassure a drug cartel, a hitman, and the DEA that nothing is wrong. An hour to make sure his wife survives. And he must do it all from the cockpit of his Cessna.
