The current crew of the USS Enterprise are wanted for one more adventure at the very least…
Since they boarded the USS Enterprise in JJ Abrams’ Star Trek back in 2009, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto have headed up the crew of the starship on the big screen. They’re up to three films thus far, most recently 2016’s Star Trek Beyond. But while there’s talk of a Quentin Tarantino-inspired new movie on the horizon, there’s little sign of the next film pressing ahead just yet.
However, in a new interview, Zachary Quinto, who plays Spock in the current crew, has revealed that plans are still in the works. He’s just not quite sure which plans.
Chatting to Observer, he confirmed that Paramount wants at least one more movie with the current big screen crew.
“Which ones are going to happen, which ones might happen first? I can’t really say, I don’t know honestly,” Quinto says. “I know there are lots of conversations being had about it. I know there are plans afoot to do at least one if not more movies.”
Quinto admits he’s keen for Tarantino’s idea to bear fruit, but there’s nothing formal or confirmed as of yet. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
