Disney is continuing to source films and TV shows for its planned Netflix-rivalling streaming service, that it’s debuting in the US at the end of next year. This is the service that already has new Star Wars, Marvel, and The Muppets shows in the works.

But it also looks as though Disney is set to reboot some of its family film titles. Details are scarce at the moment, but reportedly the first projects it’s considering for what we presume are straight to streaming reboots are The Parent Trap, Father Of The Bride, and Honey, I Shrunk The Kids. The first two of those were remade successfully by the studio in the 1990s already, and we’d imagine it’s those more recent films it’s using as its template.

Disney hasn’t commented on the story, that was broken by The Hollywood Reporter. We’ll keep you posed as we hear more.
